World View Paper

BASED ON READINGS, PERSONAL EXPERIENCE AND REFLECTION, ARTICULATE IMPORTANT FEATURES OF YOUR PERCEPTION OF THE WORLD AND THEIR IMPLICATIONS IN 1500-2000 WORDS. DEVELOP UP TO 7 QUESTIONS OR PROMPTS TO GUIDE AND FOCUS YOUR WORK. WRITE ON THE AREAS OF YOUR WORLD VIEW THAT ARE MOST INTERESTING AND IMPORTANT TO YOU. LOOK FOR WAYS THAT YOUR PERCEPTION OF THE WORLD MIGHT BE SKEWED, WAYS YOUR BELIEFS HAVE CHANGED IN RECENT YEARS, AND PARADOXES, SUCH AS CONTRADICTIONS BETWEEN WHAT YOU BELIEVE/EXPERIENCE AND WHAT YOU KNOW TO BE TRUE.

Strong papers will:

• Provide examples that show how aspects of your world view affects behavior
• Note inconsistencies where appropriate (without devolving into self-flagellation)
• Describe how these beliefs were instilled and supported.
• Demonstrate that the author has thought deeply about some of their fundamental assumptions about life, the universe and everything
• Be typed and double spaced in a 12 or 14 pt. font
• Have no misspellings and typographical errors
• Use clear prose and standard sentence structure
• Have a clear and concise introduction and conclusion

How do my roles affect my perception other people?

How were they maintained or supported?
