For this module’s assignment, first read the IAQ scenario below. Then write a short summary that addresses the concerns identified in the IAQ scenario. The paper should be at least three pages in length, not including the reference page.
IAQ Scenario: An indoor air quality investigation has revealed the sample results (below) in an office setting where occupants are complaining of poor indoor air quality:
1200-1300 ppm carbon dioxide
62-78% relative humidity
.05 ppm formaldehyde (direct reading colorimetric tube)
253 – 312 counts/m3 total airborne mold spores inside
8,590 – 12,350 counts/m3 total airborne mold spores outside
Even though most indoor air quality guidelines recommend that the ventilation system be evaluated, such an evaluation has not yet been performed. What conclusions can or can’t be drawn from these findings? What do you tell the business owner about these findings as they relate to potential worker health and/or productivity? Do any of these exposures exceed regulatory exposure limits? Are there other guidelines that should be considered? What further investigation or testing should be performed if any?
Your write-up should follow current APA formatting for references and in-text citations. Use APA format. At least 3 pages are required, not including the reference page and title page. Table of Contents and Abstract are not needed.
