Response Paper 3

Response Paper 3 – In Chapter 7 and 8, Pojman offers the example of the dying millionaire’s wish to send 5 million dollars to his beloved Yankees as a way of understanding the approaches of Utilitarianism and Deontology. In this paper, I want you to decide how you would handle this man’s last request – would you give the money to charity or to the Yankees. I then want you to defend, in terms of either Utilitarianism or Deontology, your decision (give reasons for it; think of how you might explain this to his relatives).
