There should be written 4 journals for the following questions: 

1. Martin Luther King – To what extent has King’s dream been fulfilled in American life since the
passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964? That act prohibited discrimination in
employment on the grounds of race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.

2. Maya Angelou – Does this
essay reveal the insult of stereotyping people? If so, how does it do that?

3.
Stanley Milgram – What do you
make of this experiment? Why did the “teachers” continue to go on with the
experiments when they saw the learners in evident pain? Does it really show how
deeply we adhere to authority?

4.“Harrison Bergeron” – Is our society
moving in the direction of dumbing down people to a lowest common denominator
as occurs in this story? If you think so, give some examples. If you disagree,
explain why.
